" Are you sick of always reading reviews of the same bands at the newsstand? There is so much music out there, oftentimes we find ourselves simply perched at the tip of the iceberg. Here is your pick-axe. Break through to the other 90% of the music realm..."

okay, i think i have gone completely insane...

no, not to worry, the straightjacket isn't needed from the closet, i have only just gone a bit money crazy.

i first made the terrible mistake of "happening" onto ebay this evening. there i managed to bid on a few things and also buy some items through "buy it now." this is after, of course, i bid on one or two things over at yahoo! auctions. oh yes, and i managed to spend a good $50 at half.com today as well. gah.

given, i am not really spending anything that i don't have, but i did want to use most of my tax refund for a cd burner and double VCR. ah well, perhaps that new job will come through.

*crosses fingers*

still, the behemoth of all spending this evening just occurred a few moments ago when i went to radiohead.com to check on information about their upcoming tour. now, i have been a fan of theirs for years, but i have never seen them in concert and this tour is supposedly a more intimate affair (those who know me know my great distaste for large venues and my proclivity to pass over even bands i like if they play them).

well, they had the opportunity to enter your name into a lottery for tickets as the tickets for this tour are in great demand. the lottery ends oddly enough tomorrow at noon, so i thought "this a godsend" and sent my info. now, i am not guaranteed these tickets, of course, but i had to at least try for them. the grand total though -- *gulp* -- $89 for two tickets.

*sigh*

yes, i don't even have anyone set up to go to the show with me and take over the payment of the second seat, so i will have to just wait and see what happens.

anyone want to join me at radiohead?

wish me luck...
